One of my favorite parts of this summer (and every summer) was our annual biking trip with Xtreme Club. This year we went over a four day period and traveled the C&O Canal towpath through parts of Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Some of our highlights included seeing lots of deer, a rest day where we did a group tube float in a nearby river, and some more time on that rest day spent touring the Antietam National Battlefield. Very cool. It was also a great time to get to know the kids better! Over our three days of riding, we made 100 miles. It was a good trip!
Another exciting thing that happened today was THIS!
The Phillies won, and they did it by ending the game with an unassisted triple play! Very cool! Only the second time EVER that a game has ended this way!
Use the link above to hear the Phillies radio call, or click HERE to watch a video of this amazingness on ESPN. Enjoy! :)
Well, the Boarders for Christ event was this afternoon. It went very well! It was a gorgeous day and a little over 200 people showed up to watch and listen! The three guys from Boarders for Christ put on a great show, and they also did an excellent job sharing stories from their own lives and how Christ has changed them. They also explained (and displayed) how anything that a person loves to do (like skating) can become a form of worship, if we do it in a way that honors Christ! Very cool!
Here is a picture of them doing some "audience participation."

It's been way too long since I've touched this blog... I know this because it took me about 30 seconds before I could find the "add a new blog entry" button!
But I haven't been posting because my summer is going by so fast! It's been good, but fast. Summer camp, Summer Club, Bike Trip, Hershey Park, Knoebels Grove, Family Picnics, an Altoona Curve Baseball Game... it's been sweet. Now time has flown by so fast that it's only 45 days until our wedding! Sweet! :)
But... the reason I came back to update everyone is this: I'm super excited for this Sunday at 3:30 at Rec Park when the Boarders for Christ team is coming to visit! Last year we had the Outcast BMX team, and they were awesomely ridiculous.
Now I've found a video of the BFC team, and they look like they're going to keep the awesome coming! Check it out...
You can find more out about them at www.boardersforchrist.com/.
I've always thought that it would be neat to be able to create some unique cologne, air freshener, or candle scents that featured awesome everyday smells... Well, I've learned from this blog To Every Man A Manswer that someone has taken the initiative and made it happen!
